Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test 2020

TS PGECET 2020 Application Form will be released in the 2nd week of March 2020. TS PGECET (Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance examination. This examination is conducted by Osmania University on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). In this test, admission will be offered in the field of Pharmacy, Technology, Engineering, Architecture, etc.

Eligibility Criteria for TS PGECET 2020

  • Students should be an Indian citizen.
  • Students must belong to the Telangana state of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Students must pass a B.Tech/B.E degree from any recognized university.
  • Students should have passed B. Arch degree from any recognized university.
  • Students must pass a B. Pharm degree from recognized institutes.
  • Students should have passed three years B. Pharmacy degree from any recognized university or institutes.
  • Students must secure a minimum of 50% aggregate score in their qualifying examination. ST/SC category students must secure a minimum of 45% score in their qualifying examination.

TS PGECET 2020 Application Form

  • TS PGECET 2020 is entirely online followed by the payment of online application fees. The application form will be released from March 2020. The students can submit the application form by visiting the official portal of TS PGECET.
  • Refer to the user guide before filling the form as it will provide instructions to the students about how to fill the application form.
  • The fee of the application form will be Rs. 800/- for general students and Rs. 400/– for reserved category students.
  • The students can know the status of their application form.
  • They will obtain an SMS after the successful submission of the application form.
  • If an authority receives a sufficient number of correction requests from students it may also provide the correction facility.
  • The GATE qualified students have to apply separately for admission.
  •  The registration fee is  800/- (Rs. 400/- in case of ST/SC) per test.
  • For more than one test, students have to pay the extra fee.
  • Students can make payments by Credit Card/Debit Card or TS/AP Online Centres.

TS PGECET 2020 Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Online (CBT) mode.
  • Duration: 2 hours.
  • Type of questions: Question paper will involve st of Multiple Choice Questions and students will be required to answer anyone out of the given choices.
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, students will get a +1score. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

TS PGECET 2020 Syllabus

The TS PGECET syllabus will be various as per the courses. Here we have  described the syllabus for some courses:

Architecture & Planning (AR): Housing, techniques of planning landscape design, visual and urban design, building services,computer-aided design, building constructions and management, material and structural services, service and amenities and developments, planning theory.

Biomedical Engineering: Engineering mathematics, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, biomedical engineering, electronics and instrumentation engineering

Bio-Technology (BT):

  • Engineering Mathematics: Probability, and statics, linear algebra, Differential equation, mathematics calculus, numerical methods.
  • Biotechnology: recombinant DNA technology, Plant & animal biotechnology, molecular biology, and genetics, microbiology, biochemistry.

Aerospace Technology (AS):

  • Engineering Mathematics: Calculus, linear algebra, differential calculus, numerical methods.
  • Aerodynamics: Airfoils and wings flight vehicle structures, structural dynamics, compressible flows, wind tunnel testing, stress & strain, viscous flows, basic fluid mechanics, propulsion.
  • Flight Mechanics: Atmosphere, static stability, and dynamic stability, airplane performance.
  • Space Dynamics: central force motion, determination of trajectory & orbital period in simple cases and orbit transfer.

Civil Engineering:

  • Geotechnical Engineering & Environmental Engineering: Foundation engineering, Water Resources Engineering, soil mechanics.
  • Transportation Engineering: hydrology, Noise pollution, water requirement, traffic engineering, irrigation, highway planning, air pollution, surveying, fluid mechanics and hydraulics.
  • Structural Engineering: Structural analysis, concrete structures & steel structures, solid mechanics.
  • Engineering Mathematics: Calculus, linear algebra,  numerical method, complex variables, differentials equations, probability & statics, mechanics.

TS PGECET Admit Card 2020

Students can download the Admit Card from the official website from April 20, 2020. The Admit Card contains details such as Registration Number, Exam Centre, examination, Date & Time, student’s photo, etc. To download the admit card for TS PGECET 2020, the students need to enter the registration number &  password and log to the official portal.

TS PGECET 2020 Preparation Tips

Here are some preparation tips that students may follow in order to perform well in the test :

  • Candidates can practice mock tests to analyze their performance.
  • Make yourself familiar with the entire test pattern and syllabus.
  • Try to make a proper time table & follow accordingly.
  • Students can solve previous year question papers on a daily basis.
  • Maintain your health during the test preparations.

TS PGECET 2020 Result

  • The TS PGECET Result will be announced in the month of June 2020. The Merit List will be released after the Result released.  Students who have appeared can consult their results on the site. A divided list of merits will be prepared by the student’s notes secured during the entrance examination. The selected students will be referred to as a consulting process.

TS PGECET Counseling 2020

  • Students have to pay the non-refundable counseling fee to appear in the counseling process. Students must attend the counseling procedure for document verification & seat allotments. Students will receive the serial number & password on the payment of counseling fee through which they are able to score the choices for colleges as per their requirements.

Q1: I have a valid GATE marks. Can I participate in the counseling process?

Answer: Yes. GATE qualified students will be able to participate in the counseling session of TS PGECET 2020

Q2. Should I need to upload any certificates?

Ans. None of the certificates must be uploaded. However, if you belong to SC/ST category then you need to fetch a photocopy copy of the Caste Certificate duly attested to the examination hall

Q3. If I wish to appear for more than one test which is scheduled on the same day in different sessions will I be allotted the same Test center or various Test centers?

Ans. Generally, you will be allotted the same Test center to appear for both the tests scheduled on the same day in various sessions.

Q4. Do I requirement to post the application form?

Ans. No need to post the application form

Q5. Do I need to protect the Registration ID?

Ans. Registration ID is a piece of very important information. It is very useful in any further correspondence with the TS PGECET office.

Q6. If I misplace my copy of the “Filled In Online Application Form”, how to get another copy of it?

Ans. You can take a printout of the “Filled In Online Application Form” from the website by giving suitable details.

Q7. I made some mistakes in filling the online application, then how can it be changed?

Ans. If there is any correction expected in the data, contact the TS PGECET office.

Q8. What if I don’t have a mobile number?

Ans. Mobile number is a compulsory elaboration, as your Transaction Id. Payment confirmation or any other further correspondence is through the correct Mobile number you enter. Hence, if you don’t have a Mobile number enter the mobile number of your parents/Guardians or close friends/relatives whom you can trust.
