GCET 2020 Exam Date has been released. The test will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa. It is a state-level entrance exam which is conducted for different professional degree programs. The admission will be offered on the basis of the score obtained in the entrance test. Students will be able to get admission to the state government/aided engineering colleges of Goa state. Students seeking admissions to BDS, hBAMS (Ayurveda), MBBS, BHMS (Homeopathy), Allied Health Sciences (Paramedical), & B.Sc.Nursing courses have to appear and qualify NEET UG.

 Eligibility Criteria for GCET 2020

The students those ready of taking admission trough GCET 2020, should fulfill the eligibility criteria given below:

  • Students of Indian national.
  • Non-resident Indians(NRI) holding Indian passport can also apply for seats reserved under the NRI quota.PIO/OCI can also apply under this category.
  • Students who have already passed/have appeared, or are appearing at 12th Science or equivalent exam, before the start of the academic session, are eligible to apply.
  • Students should have secured 45% for general & 40% for reserved categories.
  • Mathematics, English, & Physics as compulsory subjects with additional subjects among one of the Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology/Chemistry.
  • Students desirous of seeking admissions to Degree Courses in Architecture must appear & have valid marks in NATA 2020.

GCET 2020 Application Form

The application details to fill the application form given below:

  • Students are required to download the GCET application form from the official website of DTE Goa and take a print.
  • After taking a print of the application form, students are required to duly fill all the necessary details asked in the application form.
  •  All academic, personal & communication details, students must also suffix a recent passport size photograph in the given slot & also enclose 2 additional photographs.
  • After completing all the above steps students will have to pay an application fee of rupees 2000 in online mode only. The application fee for all categories is Rs. 2000/- & the late fees are Rs. 1500/-
  • Once the application form of GCET 2020 is completely filled, students will have to send the application form to the following address:

GCET 2020 Exam Pattern

Exam pattern is given below:

  • Mode: Offline mode
  • Duration: 2hours 
  • No.of Questions: 75 Questions
  • Type of questions: Multiple Choice Questions
  • Marking Scheme: Correct answer will carry 1 mark for each question
  • Negative Marking: There will no negative marking for multiple wrong answers.
  • Admission: Students seeking admissions only to the Pharmacy course need not appear in mathematics subjects at GCET.

GCET Syllabus 2020

  • The syllabus for GCET will be based on the syllabus Fixed by the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim. Standard +2(Science) subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, & Mathematics will be involved in the syllabus. The official authority will also provide the complete syllabus GCET 2020 along with the information brochure.

Admit Card for GCET 2020

  • The students who will successfully submit their application form along with the application fee can get their admit card. The admit card will be issued to the students after submitting the application form. The details such as roll no, time, exam date, & venue will be mentioned on the admit card.  It will be mandatory for every student to carry the admit card at the time of the exam.

GCET 2020 Result

  • The GCET 2020 results in online mode only its official website. Students will be able to access their subject wise marks through the result of the entrance exam. Candidates must note that the result of GCET will be announced in pdf format and students need to find their roll number & name in the list to check their result.

GCET 2020 Counseling

  • In the announced written test results, students have to submit the admission form to participate in the counseling. The admission form will be issued at the time of the declaration of result. Students can get it through the official website. The counseling will begin from the last week of May 2020. After submitting the admission form, students will be called for counseling. Students have to verify their required original documents for availing the seat. The admission will be strictly offered on the basis of the student’s score obtained in the GCET test. For final admission, students have to submit the admission fee to the admission council.
