CSIR UGC NET June 2021 Notification
NTA will conduct CSIR UGC NET 2021 June session on June 21, 2021 in online mode to determine the eligibility of applicants for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship. The exam will be conducted for Life science, Earth science, Mathematical science, Chemical science, and Physical science papers. Applicants must check CSIR UGC NET 2021 Eligibility Criteria before applying for the exam.
- CSIR UGC NET 2021 Application Form will be released on March 16, 2021 at csirnet.nta.nic.in.
- The application fees is INR 1000 for General, INR 500 for OBC and EWS Applicants and INR 250 for SC, ST, PwD and Transgender applicants.
- As per CSIR UGC NET 2021 Exam Pattern, it will be a 3-hour long computer based test having multiple choice questions of 200 marks.
- The minimum marks to qualify the exam is 33% for General, OBC and EWS Category and 25% for SC/ ST and PwD applicants.Check CSIR NET Cutoff for JRF & LS
- Fellowship to successful applicants shall be effective from January 1, 2021, with the validity period of 2 years for joining the fellowship under the scheme.
- CSIR UGC NET Junior Research Fellowship Salary hiked from INR 25000/- to INR 31000/- by the Central Government.

CSIR UGC NET 2021 Eligibility
Applicants must check CSIR UGC NET 2021 Eligibility Criteria before filling the application form. If found ineligible, their candidature will be cancelled with immediate effect.
CSIR NET Educational Qualification Requirements :
- Applicants must have a M.Sc or an equivalent degree / Integrated BS-MS / BS – 4 years / BE / B. Tech / B. Pharma / MBBS.
- For General/ EWS and OBC-NCL applicants, minimum of 55% marks and for SC/ ST/ physically and visually handicapped applicants, a minimum of 50% marks is required in this degree.
- Those enrolled for M.Sc or those who have completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
- B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or applicants enrolled in the Integrated MS-PhD program can apply as well.
- Such applicants need a minimum 55% marks (for general and OBC-NCL) and 50% marks for SC / ST, physically and visually handicapped applicants.
- Those with a bachelor’s degree must be registered/enrolled for Ph.D./ Integrated Ph.D. program to be eligible for CSIR.
- Ph.D. degree holders, who have passed Master’s degree before September 19, 1991, with minimum 50% marks, are eligible to apply for the only Lectureship.

CSIR NET Age Limit and Relaxation :
- For Junior Research Fellowship : Applicants should not have attained 28 years of age as on July 1, 2021.
- Lectureship : There is no upper age limit for Assistant Professorship.
- The upper age limit can be relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ ST/ Physically or Visually handicapped and female applicants and 3 years for OBC-Non Creamy Layer applicants
How to Apply for CSIR UGC NET 2021?
The step by step instructions to apply online for CSIR UGC NET 2021 are explained below :
- Visit the CSIR website, csirnet.nta.nic.in to apply for the exam
- Click on ‘Apply Online’ at the bottom of the page.
- The Application form will appear on-screen
- Enter all requisite details in the application form.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature and other documents, as mentioned on the form.
- Verify all information before final submission of the form. No changes will be allowed after final submission.
- A system generated Application Number will be assigned to you after submitting the form.
- Make the payment for Application Fee.
- Take a printout of the filled in Application Form for future reference.

CSIR NET 2021 Answer Keys
Answer keys for Joint CSIR-UGC NET Exam 2021 will be released at the official website- csirnet.nta.nic.in.
- Applicants can submit their representation against the answer key in respect of all the subjects.
- Representation(s) must be sent through email only. Any representation submitted by post or in person will not be entertained.
- The representation must have documentary/textual support.
- Any representation received after the specified time will not be accepted.
CSIR NET 2021 Result :
CSIR UGC NET Result will be released on July 5, 2021 at the official website. Successful applicants’ fellowship will be effective from January 1, 2021. The result will be published in a PDF format consisting of the roll number of successfully qualified applicants of JRF NET June, 2021.

- Visit the CSIR website and click on the link pertaining to the relevant exam.
- Enter your roll number, date of birth and security code.
- Click on the “Submit” button.

CSIR UGC NET Merit List :
- Two separate merit lists will be made for applicants qualifying for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-NET) and Lectureship (LS-NET).
- The merit list will specify details such as Roll Number of the applicant, Rank obtained and Marks secured.
- The preparation of the merit list will be on the basis of performance of applicants in the entrance test.
- Applicants qualifying for JRF will also be eligible for lectureship if fulfill eligibility criteria.
- Applicants qualifying for Lectureship will be eligible to be considered for recruitment as Junior Research Fellowship if suitable. Though they will not be eligible for regular JRF-NET Fellowship.
- Applicants qualifying for JRF (NET) will receive fellowship either from CSIR or UGC as per their associated assignment.
CSIR NET Cutoff 2021 :
