The Full form of BCA

The Full Form of BCA is Bachelor of Computer Applications and it is an undergraduate degree course in India and Nepal. In Nepal, the course is of four years, while in India it is for three years. BCA is considered to be a great alternative to engineering degrees in computer science and information technology which require four years of study. Moreover, since it is an actual professional course, even students who didn’t have mathematics in their class 12th can apply for it without the consequence of not being able to cope with the curriculum. The course is meant for students who wish to learn software development or have a career in an IT company without dwelling too deep into the fields.

The curriculum of BCA does not take students too deep into the fundamentals of computer science or hardware, and instead focuses primarily on programming. This allows them to develop programs in languages such as C, C++, Java, PHP, Python, and Visual Basic. They also learn about certain topics that are crucial to software development such as Networking, Database Management and SQL, Object-Oriented Programming, and Data Structures. This helps them to further get accustomed to various functional requirements of software development.

In the end, this helps them to jump directly into a software developer position without the requirement for further training by the company that hired them. This makes their chances of getting jobs quite high, but the careers they can choose are quite limited when compared with CS Engineers.
