ADHD Full Form – The full form of ADHD is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder which is a mental disorder that is marked by a regular pattern of inattentiveness or excess activity impulsions disregarding consequences. It gets difficult for the person to control physical energy and movement and often lacks in paying attention. It is mostly seen in children, though there have also been notable cases of adults suffering from this. National Institute of Mental Health confirms that ADHD is seen in children as young as 3 years old.

Inattention and hyperactivity are seen in normal life as well but in case of people suffering from ADHD, these symptoms or the patterns occur more frequently, severely, and reduce their functionality in social circles such a school offices. These people experience great struggle in sitting still and most of them have a combination of different symptoms. They often tend to dislike activities which demand organizing duties and tasks that require steady, ongoing attention. People who have ADHD are likely forgetful about the chores provided to them. They are always quick to follow their impulses and often get sidetracked easily with irrelevant thoughts. They always seem to be restless and loud about their hobbies. 

Hyperactivity-impulsivity as a symptom is predominantly found in young children, which takes shape into inattentiveness and fidgeting along with impulsivity during adolescence, prevailing into adulthood. There is no specified cause of ADHD, a number of factors contribute to its development, such as, genes, smoking, and substance abuse during pregnancy, exposure to high-grade environmental toxins at a young age, low birth weight and injuries to brain.
