The Full Form of ADF
ADF Full Form – The full form of ADF in terms of banking sector is Automated Data Flow, which is a method implemented by the RBI to completely ensure that banks achieve automation, and eliminate the errors which can result from manual data intervention. This in turn increases the reliability of bank data, and can be more trusted when the bank submits returns to the RBI along with a Centralized Data Repository.
The CDR stores the validated and cleansed data that the bank publishes for the RBI. This is done in the XBRL or the Extended Business Reporting Language, which is the straight-through processing mode without the need for human intervention for any editing or recompilation of the existing data.
This can then be processed by the ADF solution software to help the bank achieve a complete automation of the RBI Reports. This helps ensure a centralized data repository can provide enrichment for the data to become a part of the ever-expanding universal database. This can then be used to intelligently process the existing data for future predictions, and even create complete XBRL databases without the slightest need for human insight.
Moreover, it can use an Extract-Transform-Load engine to carry out extractions on the existing data, and transform it for the new data. With this comprehensive data model, the RBI’s requirements and bank’s internal MIS requirements are not very effective. This ensures an automatic scheduling of the bank’s return submissions and publishing to the RBI in the XBRL format.
