AD Full Form – The Full Form of AD in terms of banking is Authorized Dealer, which is a term used by the RBI to describe anyone who has been authorized by the Reserve Bank of India to exchange and deal with foreign currencies for specific purposes. For exchanging money, the RBI has approved three kinds of exchangers. This includes:
- Banks
- Authorized Dealers (AD)
- Full Fledged Money Changers (FFMC)
All of the above are many exchangers meant to deal with the exchange of currencies such as notes, coins, traveler’s cheques, and more. They are authorized to make currency exchanges and can be trusted for the best exchange rates. Getting your currency exchanged from non-authorized dealers can be illegal in some cases, and will mostly result in you getting ripped off for your money at terrible exchange rates.
