Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test 2020
AP LAWCET 2020 Application Form will be made available online mode. Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test (AP LAWCET) examination is conducted only once a year. It is a state-level examination through which students will be able to get admission in Law courses (3 years & 5 years LLB). The test will be conducted by Sri Krishnadevaraya University on behalf of APSCHE, Hyderabad. On the basis of AP LAWCET, admission will be offered into different government, private & other participating universities & colleges.

Eligibility Criteria for AP LAWCET 2020
- You can apply for the AP LAWCET 2020 examination exam if you are of Indian nationality.
- Those who belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh can apply as well as fulfill the local, as well as non-local status in AP State Educational institutions and 1974 as subsequently amended, can move ahead.
- Those who fulfill the local, as well as non-local status, needs according to TS GO MS No 25 & 108 can move to attempt the test.
AP LAWCET 2020 Application Form
Students must check the following details regarding AP LAWCET 2020 Application Form:
- AP LAWCET 2020 Application form will be available online mode only.
- Candidates will be able to submit the application form from the 12 March 2020.
- The last date to submit the application form will be until 10 April 2020.
- While filling out the application form, students will have to provide a valid/ working email ID & mobile number in the application form.
- Students are advised to also check the eligibility criteria before applying for the AP LAWCET test.
- Upload the scanned images of photograph & signature in JPG or JPEG format.
- For signature, the image size must be less than 30 KB & for the photograph, it must be less than 50 KB.
- An incomplete application form will not be accepted by the authority so students must fill the form carefully.
- The authority will also provide a correction facility to edit the mistakes in the application form.
- There will be no need to send any hard copy of the application form to the test conducting authority.
- Keep the printout of application form safe until admission for further procedure.
- Students will be able to submit the application fee through TS/AP online center or via credit card, debit card or net-banking.
- All category students will have to submit Rs. 750 as an application fee.
- The late fee will be of Rs. 500 (+Rs. 750 as application fee).

AP LAWCET 2020 Exam Pattern
- Mode: Online mode
- Questions:120 Marks(Multiple Choice Questions)
- Marks scheme: There are 4 options for every question. For every correct answer, 1 mark will be given and on the contrary, the unanswered or multiple answers will lead to no mark at all.
- Language: Telugu and English
- Marking: No Negative Marking
Syllabus for AP LAWCET 2020
The syllabus comprises of different sections such as jurisprudence, constitutional law, public international law, mercantile law, labor law, crimes and torts, IPR & other laws. Students must be aware of the complete syllabus before applying for the test. AP LAWCET syllabus given below:
- Jurisprudence – Schools of Jurisprudence, Obligation, Custom Precedent and Legislation, Ownership, and Possession, Property, Liability, Legal Sanctions, Sources of Law, Rights, and duties, Persons.
- Constitutional Law – Nature of the constitution: Fundamental Rights, Center-State Relations, Executive, Amendments to the constitution, Judiciary and Legislature, Directive Principles of State Policy, Emergency provisions.
- Public International Law – International Law and Municipal Law, Air, AsylumNationality, Sea and outer space, Subjects, State Territory, State Jurisdiction, United Nations, Extradition, and Statelessness.
- Mercantile Law – General Principles of Contract (Sections. 1-75, Indian Contract Act-1872).
- Crimes and Torts – Indian Penal Code -General Principles & General Exceptions, State liability for torts; General principles of Tort, Defenses, Consumer Protection Act,1986, Joint Liability.
- Labour Law –Industrial Disputes Act of 1947, Trade Union Act of 1926.
AP LAWCET 2020 Admit Card
- The test conducting authorities will announce the AP LAWCET 2020 admit card online mode only. The AP LAWCET admit card 2020 will be available for the students who submitted the application form on time. No, the admit card will be sent to any students by post. Students are instructed to keep the admit card till the test is over. The admit card contains the information of the students including the examination timing, test center address, roll number, exam date & day, and some important instructions for the day of the test. Do not forget to carry an admit card along with one Id proof on the day of the test. Without admit card, no students will be allowed to sit in the written entrance test.
AP LAWCET Result 2020
- AP LAWCET result for the 2020 session is expected to be announced during the 3rd week of May month in 2020 in online mode for all the students who will appear for the entrance test as when it is conducted. Students will be able to view their 2020 AP LAWCET results using their registration number & lancet admit card number. After the result is being released, the AP LAWCET counseling process will begin soon. The AP LAWCET 2020 merit list will be prepared based on the students’ marks in the entrance test. AP LAWCET counseling process will involve document verification & the final seat allotment.
AP LAWCET Counseling
- AP LAWCET 2020 Counselling Notification will be announced in 3rd week of October 2020. AP LAWCET Counselling (web options & document verification) will be conducted from the last week of October to 1st week of November 2020. AP LAWCET 2020 Seat Allotment will be released on 1st week of November 2020 through login. Students will be able to download the provisional allotment letter from the website and report to the allotted college. Students will have to verify their documents at designated helpline centers. Only after verifying the documents, students must start exercising the options. A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the students’ registered mobile number. Students must start the locking of stream & college after entering the OTP on their account. The allotment of the seats will be made in the order of preference by the students. Students must access the list of participating colleges from the website. Qualified students must proceed to the web counseling after the releasing of the written result. Students who secure a qualified scores will be allowed to attend the counseling. Students s will have to verify their documents at the designated AP LAWCET counseling centers.
