The Full form of IIFM
The Full Form of IIFM is the Indian Institute of Forest Management which is an educational institute in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It is an autonomous yet government-funded institute dedicated to studies relating to forest management, natural resources management, energy sciences, and environmental sciences. The institute was established back in 1982 by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. The autonomous status of the institute does not apply to its administration fully as it is headed by a director chosen by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.
IIFM is a premier institute that operated on a national level to enrich educational research and training along with consultancy in the fields of Forests, Environment, and Natural Resources. It has been ranked as the 8th best institute in the nation by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under the category of management institutions. The prestige of graduates from here is high in the environmental science community and they are able to work towards finding optimum ways to utilize our natural resources in a sustainable manner. The institute has been designed by the famous architect – Anant Raje who has won national awards for his designs. He was inspired by the historical town of Mandu for these designs, and it is shown in the various giant arcs in the institute’s campus.
The college offers postgraduate and doctoral courses along with fellowship programs which are meant to help improve natural resource usage via immersive research.
