The NTA (National Testing Agency) who is the conducting body of the official OPENMAT exam conducting body on the behalf of IGNOU, has released the OPENMAT 2020 eligibility criteria for the MBA entrance exam aspirants. The following are the OPENMAT 2020 eligibility criteria and some important aspects such as education qualification, age limit, reservation, and other highlights.
OPENMAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should possess the following condition for the eligibility to apply for the OPENMAT MBA entrance exam:
Education Qualification- the candidate who is interested in applying for the OPENMAT exam must possess 3 years graduation degree from a recognized institute or Chartered Accountancy/Cost Accountancy/Company Secretaryship with at least 50% marks for general category/45% for reserved category as per government of India rules.
Age limit- There is no age barrier to apply for the OPENMAT exam. The candidates from any age group can apply for the OPENMAT MBA exam.
OPENMAT 2020 Seat Reservation
The seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to the-
- Scheduled Castes,
- Scheduled Tribes,
- Other backward castes,
- war widows,
- Kashmiri Migrants, and
- Physically handicapped learners,
This has been fixed by the Government of India rules for admission to the MBA course. To get admission through the reserved categories, the candidates need to provide proof of the certificates at the time of admission to the university or the respective college. It should be noted that the submission of a forged certificate under any category shall lead to cancellation of admission and legal implications as per the Government of India rules. Any category shall lead not only to the cancellation of admission but also to be legally implicated as per Govt. of India rules.
